Shaping the Post-Crisis World Outsights Partner Richard O'Brien and other members of the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on Strategic Foresight recently met in Dubai to identify key issues on the global agenda. In the wake of the financial crisis, Richard drew attention to the "outsourcing" of responsibility and judgment by the financial system e.g. credit risk analysis to ratings agencies; analytics to complex models and algorithms; and even credit assessment to self-certifying borrowers. Linking responsibility with action will be also key in meeting other global challenges such as climate, resource allocation and mobility of people.
