Stephen King is Outsights Senior Consultant and head of Leadership Development. He also manages a programme of Futures Research and Consultancy with the Government Office for Science, in which Outsights is working to embed futures thinking across Government departments and inform policy making.
Stephen has extensive experience in strategy development and implementation. His background is in the finance sector, with NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland where he was a member of senior teams at Group level and within a wide range of businesses.
Core expertise is in strategy, supplemented with wide experience in developing new businesses, mergers and acquisitions, building commercial partnerships, client relationship management, marketing, communications, finance and risk. Stephen has designed and led many large and complex projects, including the successful repositioning of businesses in the light of market and environmental trends.
Stephen has a first-class MBA from Cranfield University and a BA (Hons) in Economic & Social History from the University of York. He is keenly interested in ballet and dance, as well as the visual arts and many sports, including horseracing and rugby.
