Esther is a freelance writer, editor and researcher, based in London. Her clients include non-profits (Women and Girls Network); multinational companies (Shell Intl., Unilever); and multilateral organisations (UNAIDS, the World Economic Forum).
Much of her work focuses on communicating complex ideas in a clear and engaging way. A sample of recent writing includes: web-copy on sexual abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder; a report on the relationship between energy access and poverty; and scenario stories on the possible futures of India, China and Russia.
Esther has a DPhil in ancient Greek history and is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow in ancient history. She has just published her book Oracles, Curses, and Risk Among the Ancient Greeks.
